Hello there! This morning when we check our mother chicken, well I really don't know what its called cause here in our town we call the mother chicken "umagak". We see a couple of chicks climbing at their mother's back so my son is keep shouting for excitement to see and hold the baby chicks. But if we had to see the chicks we have to get rid of the mother cause we don't want to get nib by its beak. After we get rid of the mother we count the chicks, its 9 baby chicks out of 10 so were pretty happy about it not to mention that we have so many chickens in our backyard today. The hatching of the eggs takes about 20-22 days but make sure that every time the mother chicken gets out of its eggs check the eggs and look for crack or broken eggs cause trust me you don't want to smell it. I separate the mother from the baby chicks cause the mother is stepping her chicks or else the baby chicks will die. They are so fluffy and cute my son can't stop cuddling them but don't worry their in the safe place now. Excited for the new chicks again to arrive by the last week of this month or maybe next week. I think I will post their cuteness again. Yep!
XOXO
CRLA
